Women should feel confident, capable, and safe in the outdoors.
Many women want to explore the backcountry but don’t know where to begin. Choosing the right equipment, understanding navigation, wildlife safety, and camping skills can be intimidating and it can be hard to know where to start. There’s often a lack of accessible knowledge, representation, and safe spaces to ask questions without feeling judged.
That’s why we’re hosting a Women’s Intro to Backpacking event at Eagle Pass Lodge in Revelstoke, BC! This women-only event is designed to help you gain confidence, learn essential skills, and connect with other women who share the same passion for adventure. Through hands-on learning, expert guidance, and a supportive community, you’ll leave feeling empowered to take on your own backcountry experiences, whether solo or with friends.

The Lodge
Nestled in the heart of the Monashee Mountains, Eagle Pass Lodge provides the perfect base for a day of adventure, learning, and connection. It's cozy, it's quiet, it's an ideal place to unwind, swap stories, and gain the knowledge you need to explore the backcountry with confidence.

Meet Your Hosts
Hi! I'm Dana.
I'm an ACMG certified Hiking Guide and the owner of Hike Revelstoke. I’m beyond excited to host the Women’s Intro to Backpacking event again this year because I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to step into the backcountry for the first time.
I love creating a space where women can learn, ask questions, and build confidence without any pressure or intimidation. I can’t wait to share my love for the outdoors, teach essential skills, and watch a community of adventurous, supportive women come together. It’s going to be an unforgettable day, and I can’t wait to see you there!

And I'm Nat!
I am a professional skier, filmmaker and ACMG hiking guide living in Revelstoke, BC. My first taste of mountain sports was skiing in the Victorian Alps of Australia at a young age but I didn't start hiking and backpacking until an opportunity at high school led me into the mountains in summer.
I have spent the last twenty years backcountry skiing and hiking my way across the world and it's one of my greatest pleasures sharing what I have learned, and am still learning with anyone who wants to explore the mountains. One of my passions is working to create inclusive spaces where folks can turn up as themselves and enjoy the mountain sports. I aim to do this through guiding, filmmaking and creating events. I am excited to get to know folks on the trails!
