Women's Hiking Series
This Hiking Series is designed to help women build confidence, community, and outdoor skills over the span of several months.
We’ll begin with a one-day Women’s Intro to Backpacking event, where attendees will learn foundational backcountry skills in a supportive and welcoming environment. From there, the journey continues with six guided hikes around Revelstoke throughout the summer. Each hike offers an opportunity to explore beautiful trails, connect with other women, and grow more comfortable and confident in the mountains.
The series wraps up with a three-day, two-night guided backpacking trip, where we’ll put everything into practice and celebrate a summer of learning, adventure, and connection together.
Whether you’re completely new to hiking and backpacking or simply looking for a fun and encouraging community to get outside with, this series is about creating space for women to challenge themselves, learn together, and experience the magic of the mountains. Join us for one, or all of the events!

Intro to Backpacking Event
To kick off the series, 23 women gathered at the beautiful Eagle Pass Lodge to spend a day learning foundational backpacking skills. We covered topics such as: trip planning, gear basics, emergency preparedness, campsite setup, and wildlife safety.

Group Day Hikes
The series includes six guided day hikes on beautiful trails around Revelstoke, with both easy and moderate options available throughout the summer. Each hike is designed to help participants build confidence on trail while learning practical hiking techniques

Backpacking Trip
The 3-day, 2-night backpacking trip is the final piece of the series, where participants put their skills into practice. We’ll hike into the backcountry, camp under the stars, and spend two nights building confidence, independence, and connection in the mountains.

This series is supported by Helly Hansen, whose sponsorship helps make it possible for more women to access outdoor education in the mountains. Due to their support, we are able to offer this series at a subsidized rate, increasing accessibility for participants.
Their support directly contributes to reducing barriers to participation and creating more opportunities for women to feel confident and capable in the outdoors. As part of Open Mountains Month, the July 4th hike is offered at an extra discounted rate as a special opportunity to celebrate community and connection in the mountains.
